BADUNG – Pangdam IX/Udayana General Major TNI Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., welcomed arrival the President of Republic of Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo and Mrs. Hj. Iriana Joko Widodo and his entourage at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung Regency, Bali Province, on Monday, November 7, 2022.
By using the Special Indonesian Presidential Aircraft from Halim Perdanakusuma Jakarta, the President and Mrs. Iriana arrived in Bali to be greeted like the official welcome of the leaders G20 countries. Down on the plane steps, greeted by troops of honor and welcoming dance typical of Bali.
After that, the President of Republic Indonesia also had time to review the VVIP Airport room, which will be a stopover for G20 leaders when they arrive in Bali. The President then headed to the hotel where he was staying to continue the agenda for a working visit the next day.
The arrival of the President and his entourage this time was in the context of a working visit to check the readiness of venues (Final Checking) and simulation of the arrival flow Delegates ahead of the G20 Presidency Summit and accommodation at The Apurva Kempinski Hotel, South Nusa Dua Highway, Benoa, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.
In addition to reviewing the readiness of the venue, the President of Republic Indonesia will also follow simulation flow process for the arrival Head of Department (HoD) state guest or VVIP for the G20 Indonesia Summit later and it is planned to also review the activities of the Tactical Floor Game (TFG) in context of the G20 Presidency activities.
As Commander of the G20 Summit Regional Security Task Force, Pangdam will accompany the President of Republic Indonesia on the agenda of his working visit to review all preparations for the G20 Summit. Pangdam also assured that the soldiers of Kodam IX/Udayana were ready to carry out their security duties with a full sense of responsibility.
Also welcoming arrival the President of Republic Indonesia were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of PUPR RI, Chief of Police, Assistant to the Coordinator of the G20, Head of State Protocol, Governor of Bali, Head of Bali Police and Kabinda of Bali, as well as other officials.
