Denpasar – In order to prosper the community and its members and their families, Kodam IX/Udayana held a Cheap Market in the context of Persit KCK’s Birthday and the Fasting Month and welcomed Eid Al-Fitr 1 Shawwal 1444 H, which was held in the East Parking Area of Field I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Praja Raksaka Kepaon Dormitory, Pemogan, Denpasar, on Tuesday (4/4/2023).
When opening the Cheap Market activity, the Military Commander (Pangdam) IX/Udayana Maj. Gen. Sonny Aprianto, S.E, M.M., in his remarks thanked the Committee and Puskop Kartika Udayana, and gave positive appreciation for the cooperation of the entrepreneurs who had initiated and participated in the Cheap Market activities.
“Ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 1 Shawwal 1444 H, market demand for basic food needs in the community is quite high, causing prices to increase. Anticipating this, on Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana’s 77th Birthday, Kodam IX/Udayana held a bazaar for the community as well as members of the TNI and civil servants at prices below market standards,” said the Pangdam.
Major General Sonny further said that the activity which was attended by around 800 people had very strategic value, because in addition to celebrating Persit KCK’s anniversary, it also had the right momentum to show the existence of Puskop Kartika Udayana and other business actors in marketing products, as well as helping to lighten the burden society to meet their basic needs.
“I hope that this activity should be carried out regularly, so that it can inspire all of us to care for each other who need it more. In this way, members of the Kodam IX/Udayana Military Command and the community will be assisted in overcoming the problem of meeting basic needs ahead of Eid. Therefore, I wish you a happy shopping,” concluded the Pangdam.
At the end of the opening ceremony, the Pangdam and the Head of Persit KCK PD IX/Udayana symbolically carried out the sale of Cheap Market Staple Foods at the Cooking Oil Stand as a sign of the commencement of the Cheap Market activities. Furthermore, the Pangdam and the Head of Persit KCK PD IX/Udayana also took the time to review other Bargain Market booths.
